Solo Show: Eden

Join me for my first solo show in New York, opening this Thursday, June 5th at Turn Gallery.

Entitled, Eden, this body of work draws on the stories I grew about hearing about my father's childhood garden in Tehran: a walled landscape full of figs and roses with a fountain in the center. Unable to visit or return to Iran, I have established a connection with my homeland through recreating the garden paradises I've come to know only through his stories. They remain hopeful harbingers of our return one day. Then wilt thou not be loth To leave this Paradise, but shalt possess A Paradise within thee, happier far.... They hand in hand with wandering steps and slow Through Eden took their solitary way. - John Milton
